Before you listen:

Imagine yourself at sea on rough waters. Find a small slip of paper and write a short message to yourself to be read in the future when you are landed and safe. 

After you listen:

Read what you wrote. Make a choice: pledge to keep the piece of paper safe, or destroy it thoroughly.
