Another Dialogue
What I say often counts for little; but my presence, the attitude of my soul, my future and past, what will be born in me, what has died in me, a secret thought, the stars supporting me, my destiny, thousands of mysteries encircling me, surrounding you - that is what speaks.
-Maurice Maeterlinck
Dates: April 25/26/27 at 7:30pm
Venue: PICA (15 NE Hancock)

In Another Dialogue, a looping late night conversation becomes a meditation on the masks we wear, the people we wish we were, and the hidden forces that guide our endlessly repeating patterns. Featuring a live score by musicians Mark Valadez and Elsa Dougherty, the interplay between the two performers (Rebecca Lingafelter & Amber Whitehall) and the two musicians becomes another layer of dialogue, transforming quotidian conversation into a revelatory dismantling as sound replaces speech. Another Dialogue is an experiment in form and process, a pop-up performance presented at numerous sites for limited performances.
